About Me

For those who want to know a little more about me, thank you very much for reading! The truth is I only started keeping a blog because my partner thought that people might be interested in what I have to say. I honestly just can’t give a short answer to anything and that works quite well in blogs…! Now, writing this at the end of November 2021, I’d say that blogging has been a bit of a life saver.

My blog began its life as an art blog back when the pandemic first hit in early 2020, but it’s changed a bit over time. It’s now a testament to my two passions: artwork and wildlife. My wild challenge in 2021 is the main feature of my posts but the artwork is still there.

I was a very academic kid. I hated school because of the bullies, had very few friends and felt very alone amongst my peers. I always felt old for my youthful years and didn’t seem to be able to click with the other kids at school. But I got good grades and, because of this, I was encouraged down an academic pathway that led me to a history degree.

Looking back now, though, my interest in art sadly dwindled after I took this step. I’m not really sure why. I sometimes found it hard to start a piece off for fear that it wouldn’t be perfect – this is something I still find challenging! But now, I’ve found my passion for artwork once again and a real love of wildlife and wild spaces.
